Comfort Insurance recommend to me are messing us around for insuring my MoHo coming from Scotland to France.
Basically it’s full insurance windscreen and breakdown Euro cover. With three named drivers. The person on the phone at Comfort seem to have trouble getting their heads round this. They are making it more complicated asking how many countries etc. Are we vanlifers?
Van supposed to be on its way by Monday and they said they could not have a quote before Tuesday??? Office shut now for the weekend?
Can anyone recommend a company on line where I could get this done over the weekend.
This has been going on for a few days now, they gave us a quote on line but through AVIVA? Took them ages to find it? All sounds a bit strange to me.
Thanks

Can't complain about LV. Half the quote from comfort. I even rang and went through each part just to make sure.

The basic quote from lv (no breakdown, legal, no claims protection and no personal injury) was MORE than my renewal from comfort with everything in, including Euro breakdown, and that’s £730🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😤

The quote we started through Comfort, came up as AVIVA? When I searched for the half complete quote on Comfort/AVIVA, it would not accept my MoHo registration number, which made me panic, but it shows up on DVLA. When the assistant told me, ‘don’t drive it until Monday, you are not yet insured’ I felt uneasy. Wondered if Comfort/AVIVA can put a stop on my quote until they open on Monday?
So called Adrian Flux and they are calling tomorrow morning.

LV are cheap, but they were rubbish when Lucy had an accident a few months back. No communication or just inept. That’s the problem with insurance, you only find out when you need it. :-(

Very true. I hope we'll never need any insurance. I'd never go back with Adrian Flux or AIB.

So glad you asked, I had a brain lapse moment and went back to check. I meant tr young. Wouldn't want to mislead anyone over AIB. They were just too expensive on renewal.

A Flux limit windscreen cover to £1500 but it may have changed. ALWAYS my first question when I ring any company/broker.

Well we finally got insured through Adrian Flux on Saturday morning, having been told by Comfort/Aviva that the enquiry had to go to the underwriters and might be Tuesday before they got back. We needed to know as our son only had Monday to drive our new to us van to Worcester on its journey to the south of France. Anyway it’s done now, long enough to cover the journey here and the three months before we have to change the numberplates to French.
