Auf wiedersen pets!

Revisiting this year's Dusseldorf Show and planning to tour via Berlin and the northern coastal regions before heading sarf to the sun for winter.
I recall that when we were last in Germany ( 2015), we experienced some problems with our Mastercards. Some retailers - quite a few actually - did not accept them and we woz quite stumped! Has anyone recently had the same issues svp?

Ps: from Berlin, am tempted to head into Poland before sweeping north toward Stettin und der coast. Any advise with regards Polska? (Not thinking of spending more that a few days there though.)

Thanks.

Just had MasterCard, visa & Amex refused on a purchase under €100 however ALL ok for purchases over €100 at the same store

When I saw the title I thought to ask 'Are you going to land this time?'

Poland - we live here, not many campsites and 'Aires' except along the North Coast but wildcamping, while still technically illegal(Communist Law?) is easy and done all over - we do..

If you are coming from Berlin going SE do not use the German A16/ Polish A18 (both E36) past Cottbus, as after the borderr it is heavily rutted, instead head towards Dresden and then A4 (E40)

As for cards, cannot advise on non-Polish cards but local ones, including contact ones, seem to be used more than cash.

Diesel is a bit cheaper than Germany off the M/Way. Other things are a lot(15-20%) cheaper and you get change of 1/5 of an English penny.

Any more info just ask.
