They open 1st March to 15th Oct. Full facility campsite in the sporting complex next to the Olympic Rowing lake. Ghent is a great city and the bus runs every 15 mins for a couple of euro till past midnight. Look out for the Velocity(bicycle) bar in the old back streets it is run by a cranky old Dutchman and resembles Steptoe's front room. He does not serve you if he does not like the look of you, but has a fabulous range of Trappist beers.

There is an aire at Gentbrugge - a suburb on the south side of the city. It is a fair walk to the centre of Gent, but the aire is next to the tram. It is also near an overpass for the main ring road so there will be some noise. Here are the details from Camping Car-Infos

The owner sits in an armchair by a large open fire in the winter, Most times he opens up about 2100-2130, old penny farthings hanging from the ceiling, totally unique. It's a place we just have to go back to every time we visit Gent. Once bought an old chair from him that was due to be burnt on the fire. We tend to go there when we leave the Amadeus all you can eat Rib Bar that is just round the corner.
