Gems between Denia and Benidorm please

Hi, please can anyone suggest a good site between Denia and Benidorm - maybe off the beaten track a bit with some good walking, dog friendly beaches, bit of local character and, most importantly, space next week. Cheers for your replies.

As Busby. Something of a contradiction, I would have thought in that area. Have you tried Camping Vall de Laguar, inland from Denia, in the ACSI book, a bit tight for big vans, but ok for a pvc, fantastic walk called the 5000 steps and the Cavall Vert? Very helpful staff - Ivan speaks good English & will give you maps. Good butcher, baker in village. Don't know how busy it is just now.

+1 for camping Vall de Laguar. But may be on the cool side perhaps but still worth visiting. This is the town it is next to - within walking distance.

Yep we are there too, quite a bit of space and an interesting approach for the larger vehicle!

Going to be 'fun' cycling back up the hill from Orba!

I'd have recommended Val de Laguar but you threw me with dog friendly beaches

going back a bit but camping rio mar is on the beach and both site and beach dog friendly and flat cycling

Glad you like it. When I did the 5000 steps, like an idiot I forgot my camera, so I had to use the phone, which isn't too good in difficult light, but maybe this will give an idea of what it's like as it goes away down and then back up the other side

If you can get to Javea, camp sites are not great. But some great walks.

Cap Pin, Illa del Portitxol, Cap Negre i Cala de la Barraca are great walks.
