Hi all, just musing at the moment but, if I was to swap out my AGM hab battery for a Gel, which is the best charging profile to adopt on my solar, and B2B?
The solar charges the hab, = [ AGM] and the starter, = [flooded ?] . The B2B also charges both , TBOMK. Both the solar MPPT, and the B2B have multi charging options, but that then sets all the output profiles ? 🤷‍♂️
TIA.
Mike.

I've come across this thread as just started thinking of moving my wet to agm but I see quite a bit of knowledge on agm gel and lithium I expect your message got missed first time round. For now, is going gel from agm enough, why not lithium?

This is basically what I have, except I don't have, or feel the need at present for a b2b. Charging profile on solar is set to gel and charges both batteries. The EBL is also set to gel but apparently just does a simple float charge to the starter battery limited to 1A.
I like the idea of lithium but not the price.

It's the cost basically, and then added complexity Lithium brings with it. Gel, for us would work OK at this moment in time. Further along though who knows?

You need to set the mains/solar/B2B chargers to the Gel settings. Gel's need a much longer absorbtion phase and will never get fully charged without the correct setting
