It will automatically shut off if there is a leak or regulator failure & with a 5 year warranty think it's a worthwhile safety addition. Searching around online there are one or two other versions which are cheaper copies of the patented GasStop which may not have the same approvals or warranty - not sure such a risk is worth it for a safety product.
First impressions are that GasStop is a substantial, good quality item but holding off fitting ours until the milder weather
but will post more photos once installed.
