Gaslow prices

Lot of info here about the Gaslow system http://www.motorcaravanning.co.uk/shopuk/gaslow_refillables.htm

The site owner prefers/recommends auto changeover. I prefer the Gaslow manual changeover with pressure gauge because you can use it for leak detection.

I agree with you and tend to fit these changeover gauges for the majority of our installations.
You just need to use both cylinders don’t just stick to one side , alternate when you fill up .

Thanks all ... definitely not fitting ourselves for a multitude of reasons but good to hear positive recommendations for Autogas and Rhino Installs who are the closest mainstream fitters.

I had a Gaslow system fitted for approx. £555, contacted the company found out if they were going to be at the Lincoln show which the were, so ordered what I required met them there first class fitting and the fitting was free, certainly no regrets

You may want to add filters to bottles.

the Quotes include filters, eu adapters and manual changeover

The Filters priced rhino installs out as they quoted £40 more per filter vs Autogas.

Will book with Autogas on Monday ?

Interesting to hear about swapping from one `van to another. Just worndered how you`d cope with the Holes left behind on the "old" `van?.

We swapped ours over, bought a new filler from Gaslow and left the old one with a blanking plate behind it.

Gaslow sell a kit specifically for people that are swapping vans and taking their cylinders with them ?

The only hole we have is the small hole in the skirt for the small filling point we used. If we ever swap our present motorhome (only likely to be when I can't pass the C1 medical) I will swap everything except the filler point over and just buy a new filler point.

Depends on where it is ... if it's the big round fill point which would leave a large hole leave the filler point but remove the hose and cap off the rear of the filler and buy a new fill point for your new MH. If its the small fill point you could remove the whole thing leaving a hole (see what I did there! :giggle: ) and put a reflector over it (with a matching one on the other side if needs be).
