Gaslow not as effective as flogas?

We recently had one gaslow refillable gas bottle fitted, keeping one red flogas next to it. The gaslow bottle is full.

We have found that when I turn on the gas from the gaslow bottle, the change over regulator doesn't switch from red to green. Whilst we do get gas to the oven, the fridge does not work as efficiently as when on flogas.

When I turn off the gaslow bottle and open the flogas, the regulator switches to green as per the image below and the fridge works properly:

Is the yellow gaslow valve the only on/off valve for this bottle? I can'e see any thing else anywhere. I turn this fully on, but could it be a pressure problem?

I understand that the the gas in the flogas bottle and the gas from the pump is the same thing, so should be as effective as each other. Is that right or are they different and one less effective as the other (similar to different grades of fuel)?

Is that an auto changeover valve? I think I can just see the indicator mark that is pointing towards the Flogas cylinder, in which case the valve will go red (no gas) when you manually turn that one off. Rotate the mark to the Gaslow side and it will go green when you open that cylinder.

Any inline filters that might cause a discrepancy in the pressures?

Having had a bit more of a look at the picture I can’t see a 30mb regulator as per the sticker on the wall behind anywhere? Is that changeover valve also a regulator or does the Flogas have a bottle top one in place? If so that would be why you have gas from that source and none from the Gaslow, as the multivalve is shutting down when you manually open the valve and it gives full flow.

Who did the installation? You might want it checked.

Nor me,

The changeover valve should be mounted on top of the regulator ..

perhaps it's mounted below.. 🤔

Steve_D .. is there a regulator below the changeover valve... can you show a picture of the whole set up ?

this was mine, you can see the regulator between the bottles.. DSCF2332.jpeg

All in one unit, never knew they existed 🤔

I'm not au fait with that setup, but shouldn't the slot in that little brass screw I've highlighted in your picture be running vertical as it looks to be in the off position or is that just for the test point ?

Is it just me that sees the level gauge on the gaslow as in the red? as in empty.

The brass screw is the test point

yes, I did notice but wasn't sure ..

now zoomed in and certainly looks on the red

Could be an error with the first fill on a Gaslow that’s been posted on here before - OP assumes it’s full it but hasn’t taken any onboard?

A worry might be that with that setup if the Gaslow and Flogas valves were left open when filling from the autogas pump could there be a possibility of the Flogas taking the fill as well?

if you look at the gauge the black line to the right of the gauge is the level line so it’s in the green segment so should be full or as near as dammit

No there is only 1 hose to the fill point

Point taken but thereafter the two cylinders are linked at the regulator. If there isn’t a back flow prevention device at that point, or if there is and it fails, and both cylinder outlet valves are left open when filling, what is there to prevent the Flogas overfilling as it has no 80% protection valve?
