For me, the reason I got refillable was so that I could always set out on a big trip with a known amount of gas (full). It was also so that I wouldn't need to mess with other cylinders when abroad. It is only on the very long or cold trips that I need to re-fill and I've not had a problem doing so (although I believe that LPG can be difficult to find in some countries). The reduced cost of gas barely came into consideration; the cost of installation can buy a lot of extra gas, even at Calor's premium.I have found Calor to be the most stocked cylinder in the UK, so if at any point we were sited we could still exchange cylinders and if you were abroad and had an issue with the fill system you could fit any locally available bottle in the space, all unlikely I guess, also it would be half the initial cost.
There were already two Calor bottles installed when I bought the m/h so changed one to Gaslow (and installed the filler fittings etc.) with the option to swap the Calor for another Gaslow later if I found it necessary. Not sure I follow the rationale for retaining a Calor bottle?

How long since you used your flogas bottle, as gas goes off after timeWe have the Gasit system (11kg cylinder plus external fill point & Bluetooth sensor), with a 6kg flogas cylinder as backup (which we’ve never yet needed). Can’t fault Gasit support, they were superb both when seeking advice before purchase & afterwards when we had a faulty BT sensor (after a year) which they replaced without a quibble. It’s also cheaper than the equivalent in Gaslow & we get 10% discount with Blue Light Card (emergency services & forces both serving & retired).
Last November. It’s half full now as we realised at the end of our last trip that it was getting near to needing changed so swapped to it even though we still have plenty of other gas. Plan to finish it next week so we can go & exchange it (we have an Autogas main depot near us so no problem getting another). How long since you used your flogas bottle, as gas goes off after time
