Swift Escape 644.
Exp
since 1970's
Hi after a few years with a refillable 6kg Gasit bottle in the locker and the constant worry about UK garages filling i bit the bullet and ordered a second bottle and a body filler kit and the appropriate fittings i decided not to fit it myself and had it done along side the Habitation.great result and will be trying it out at Brands Hatch next weekend.Habitation went well apart from high damp reading in back lower corner behind bumper and corner trim but the van was one of the early Swift Escape 644 so to be expected at sometime. My habitation guy gave me some advice on fitting a deflection plate to stop capillary action at base off back panel and floor.

Looks like a joint has been put in one of the pigtails & I don't like fillers in the body.

I noticed that does it mean no non return valve, if so I wouldn't fancy filling that.

On a more serious note , as with everything there’s always a reason for things to be done correctly, the LPG gun can drop off ⚠️

Never gave orientation much thought as I have always had the small fillers where I have to screw the adaptor on each time.
I suppose with it like that it depends which side the hose comes out of the gun when you put it on OK if on the right side but left no go.

Learnt something. (y)

Nope, the pins on the bayonet should be fitted horizontally, as they are now, the gun will likely fall off.
Its quite clearly stated in the instructions that it must be fitted horizontal.
I do hope snowbirds is watching the thread
One more thing, the threads of the screws from behind are a bit prominent, I hope that a gun can even fit as again it's in the instructions about this issue.
