2016 Bailey 765 moto
I have a bailey 765 2016 Approach. Im looking to replace the gas strut which is fitted to the habitation door, which Prima leisure has for £79!
My question is, does anyone know of a suitable replacement strut, costing less than the fore mentioned and has anybody replaced this item?
Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Ian

Measure the length and look on e bay I got two for under £10, They are held on with a spring clip at the ball end and once this is out easy to replace They are different resistances as well measured in Newtons

I have looked on every website you can imagine. Unfortunately the Bailey Prima leisure site gives no specifications re newton force etc or dimensions. But thank you for your help. Ian

SGS Engineering
Thank you, I have looked on there but without knowing the exact match spec with the Prima leisure site I’m struggling a little. But thank you.

All of mine have the spec painted on the strut itself, that’s on a Hymer, but I would expect yours to be the ssme, then measure the length

Should be printed on the strut, if you have the info SGS will make one to suit.

All you need is length. Diameter and type of end fitting (which often unscrew and can transfer over). They can supply pre pressuriowitj a small Allen key so you can release pressure in one second bursts until you find correct 'push'

If you do get one with "extra gas" in it to adjust to your setup, just be aware that you can only lower the pressure to suit your situation, if you let too much gas out, you won't be able to increase the spring pressure back up.

You could take it of and try your local car breakers, if lucky give it a push pull to see if it is similar 😉
