Our Hymer is fitted with an electrical sensor on the gas regulator to tell you when the gas pressure is nil and you need to change the bottle. Unfortunately, when changing a bottle today in a hurry on a Repsol forecourt in Spain I inadvertently clouted the switch with the gas bottle and broke it., so the low gas pressure warning light is now permanently ON in the cabin. To effect a quick repair I pared back the cable to the broken switch expecting to find only 2 wires on a simple that I could splice together to switch off the warning light, but damn, the switch has 3 wires, brown, yellow and pink. I'm now stumped until someone can tell me which 2 or 3 wires to splice.

It may a type of resistor switch where a current is applied and a measured resistance causes the light to come on with the third wire acting as earth so unless someone with more knowledge replies I would not try to join them just protect all three so the live wire is not protected floating around in the gas locker.

Good advice, thank you. I propose to check each wire with my meter but at the moment the lunchtime wine has got the better of me here in Spain.
