This may seem like a daft question and it probably is. We have red propane bottle in the van we just got. However, we have a full 15kg tank from an old van. Is there any kind of adapter that we could use to avoid having to change over connectors every time we swap bottles?

Its not a daft question but what size is your locker and will it fit is the first question any trawl on websites that sells the kit with a tandem fitting i.e one off one , one off the other and meet in the middle and off to the van system will work. You just need two regulators and a Y shaped fitting leave both open or shut off one bottle and open when gas runs out.................or get a refillable system much cheaper in the long run

If you take digital images of both bottles that you have, and upload them on here, we will be able to see what, if anything you need.

Here's how to load images...

15kg so that would be a blue butane one then?
You won't be wanting to use that past September it gets slow at gasing off as the weather gets colder.
If you have a bulkhead regulator you can get a different pigtail for it but probably not worth while as they are £35-£40, cheaper to swap it for another propane bottle.

Also think about the weight. 15kg gas plus at least another 15kg for the bottle. That's 30kg off the weight allowance for your van.

If, as Lenny HB suggests, the 15kg is Butane, then you can exchange the empty for a 13kg Propane assuming they are both Calor.....

We've found that a 13kg Calor bottle won't fit our locker hence the reason we switched to Flo Gas, their 11Kg fits but we opted for two 6's... It's weird.

On your last image, the black rubber tube is called a pigtail. The right hand end that is connected to the bottle is a POL connector.
The other end, that is connected to your regulator is a W20 connector.
So what you have is a...
W20 x POL pigtail(probably 50cm)

You don't show an image of your blue bottle so I can't advise any further other than...

So you either need..
(a) a new pigtail with W20 on one end and whatever connects to your blue bottle on the other, or

(b) an adaptor that the existing POL will screw into and will then connect to the blue bottle.

Sorry if I am " preaching to the converted"
Simplest way is to swap your blue bottle for a red propane one.
