Afternoon all. Just been away in the MH to Cornwall during half term. All went fine till the gas stopped working. I thought -oh the propane cylinder (6KG) must be empty so got another, attached to the pigtail as per, turned on and -nada. Nothing came through to the hob and didn't hear it turn on at the bottle either. Pressed the wee reboot button on the regulator. Still nothing. Checked the glass lid was fully up, turned off the fridge just in case and turned off electrics too but still no gas. Came home and took the bottle out (we put it in storage so disconnect every time). Then I noticed a wee black valve/knob thing in the cabinet (about the size of the top of a toothpaste tube). I think it got knocked off the mechanism attached to the wall of the gas cabinet that goes into the van.
Could this be the problem? I stuck it back on manually where I think it fell off but didn't have time to recheck it. Just looks like a cosmetic part so would be surprised if it was the cause? I'm taking MH for MOT and Service in a couple of weeks so will ask them to check it while they are dealing with other snagging problems -but thought it worth asking the Funster hive mind in case it is the black valve part. Thanks in advance for any expert opinions. 👍

Pictures help us help you.

Could just be your regulator is gummed up - worth replacing every 5 years or so and pipe. Date stamp on side of pipe, sometimes on regulator.

Pressed the wee reboot button on the regulator. Still nothing.
If your regulator is the crash safe type there should also be burst protection on the pigtail. The button on the pigtail needs to be reset first and then the button on the regulator needs to be held in for several seconds whilst the domestic system re-pressurises.

Many thanks for responses so far -don't have a pic alas as I was driving van back to storage -but will look at it in more detail next time I pick up the van and will ask workshop about it when leaving in for MOT. It's a 2019 model so maybe it is a gummed up regulator -will check date -thanks very much for the advice 👍
