When I lite the gas over it runs well for about 30 seconds then goes into this gurgle sound and the flame drops below the mantle- any ideas?

gas bottle isn’t near empty I presume ?
Other things working on gas ?

Without seeing the appliance I can't be sure but it could be a dirty burner, or very low gas pressure

Gas bottle is half full and the regulator was checked on a service 2 weeks ago

Take the gas bottle out & give it a good shake, sounds daft but can be very effective.

Tried that this afternoon, still happening

It is almost certainly the regulator.

If not, it may be corrosion in the pipe blocking the gas flow after start up.

We had the same problem last time we were in Spain, dismissed the regulator as it was almost new, tried the burner and thermocouple to then find it wasn’t them that was causing the problem but the regulator. So don’t dismiss it , as others have saiid it could well be your problem.

Please do come back and let us all know what it was when it’s fixed as it helps others.

Thanks all, I’ll get the regulator replaced and let you know, the rings on the cooker work fine though if this matters?

Put them all in at once then try something else. If the flame goes down then it’s the regulator.

If it’s working fine it may be something in the oven itself.

If there is no problem with any other gas appliance, then the fault will be with the oven itself, check the burner is clean and if you are up to it check the injector, if you don't feel confident, the get a gas engineer to have a look at it.

Tried the multi applciances, no change, will check it tomorrow once its light and see if its clean, looks clean to me but ill check futher. Thanks
