10 years, AFAIK only Gaslow did 15 year ones originally.

Hi Lee, Could I please ask where you are getting your underslung tank? Ive tried to purchase from LPG Store and Gas IT and both times have had to get a refund as they never replied after weeks of not receiving anything.

Not a very good buy then. I've another 3 years on my gaslow purchased in 2008 now in the third motorhome.

I've never dealt with this company so can't recommend them but someone on here did so I gave them a call last week regarding twin bottle system, they gave an estimate for fitting a double 11k system for £450 which in my opinion seems ok. Once we can travel we will try and book them the same time we're visiting Vanbitz.

We have an aluminium gas it bottle that is 10 years old, the plan was to go to Germany and get it tested at the factory, but it's looking unlikely at the moment, so we will have to see how much travelling we do away from Spain, before we commit to another refillable replacement, because Spanish gas is really cheap, compared with other countries and we only travel in summer, so use a lot less than we have in the passed, but convenience might take over as we have had them since 2007. ? Bob.

Here’s what they say :

Hi Alan

We have had two types of cylinder in our range.

Until 2013 they were 'pi' marked and had two holes at the top for the valves.
These cylinders need retesting after 15 years.

From 2013 we introduced the R67 cylinder with the multivalve.
These need to be retested after 10 years.

The date will be stamped into the footring of the cylinder.
(unless you had one of the very early cylinders (pre-2005) when it was stamped on the collar)

Please contact us when the cylinder approaches the date to arrange an exchange/upgrade.
There will be a cost involved, to be confirmed

I have ordered from LPG shop I am having to wait for valves to be fitted I was offered £10 off if I fitted the valves myself but declined as I could not test tank

you can leak test using compressed air rather than gas. but the parts to make up a testing hose will cost more than the offered £10 discount

As I said, the early Gaslow ones were 15 years (I have one bought in 2009) but I'm not aware of ANY Gasit ones being 15 years, perhaps the OP can confirm for anyone who is interested exactly what their 'test by' date is.
