For years!
I have one refillable Gaslow bottle and a Calor Lite bottle. The Gaslow bottle has been used for 4 years. I have never run out of gas. I top up regularly when LPG is available on a forecourt. The Calor Lite has never been used until a few weeks ago when I deliberately used it until empty - knowing that the lite bottle was discontinued. I don’t feel I want to replace the Calor lite with a full bottle - Calor or otherwise - to remain unused for yet another 4 years. I am therefore contemplating using only the Gaslow bottle and using a single burner Campinggaz stove as a backup should I ever run out of gas. We seldom stay on a site which does not have an EHU. Has anyone gone down this route? I would welcome comments on my plan.

If your on sites with ehu use leccy hob

Yes, I should have said I have an electric hob as well!
Seems you have it covered I rarely stay on sites and use bottles .waiting to get the silly 3.9kg stopped to 6kg refillable never had a problem until now due to shortage of locations with exchange bottles

Seems to me you don't need another bottle

I had a 11kg gaslow and a 6kg calor bottle for ages, never used the calor so it's now in the back garden for bbq use, I did however put in a second gaslow bottle, you can never have too much.

With you useage I wouldn't bother the Calor. We are the opposite we get through 14kg (28 Lt) in 15 days as we never use EHU

We have 2 x 6kg gaslow and have never had to switch to the second bottle,we have always managed to top up somewhere. We do alternate the bottle useage but never have actually run one to empty .we also carry the small canisters and tabletop stove ,just in case.but have seldom used it.
I would carry on as you are with the one 6kg bottle but if you see another 6kg gaslow that's for sale within your budget then buy it.
