Hi all, we have a Gaslow refillable twin bottle system and are looking for a reliable level indicator. Looking on line it seems that some of the hand held gauges are not suitable for refillable bottles. However we’ve found the Senso4 Plus system which makes great claims but cannot see any meaningful reviews. Does anyone have this system as would be good to have your feedback ? Thanks.

I don't know that particular system but gaslow do their own level indicator. It's called the wave. Battery powered Bluetooth via an app.

Replaced our previous totally inaccurate gas level gauge with a Mopeka wireless Bluetooth sensor a few years back and it has proved to be very accurate as you can alter the specifics of your gas cylinder or tank in the setting menu.

I have now fitted the Mopeka water tank sensors to get accurate level indications of our fresh and grey tanks.

A quick question. Are Gaslow cylinders magnetic? I am away from the moho for a few weeks so I cannot test it myself.
No, they are not magnetic.
They are made of steel so magnets will attach to them. (y) :giggle:

I have a two cylinder Gaslow system with an auto change over valve. I normally use no1 cylinder after refilling. When the valve changes over to no2 cylinder a red light comes on the Truma Duo system. I then fill up not l9ng after using no2 cylinder. Of late it has been a little hit and miss so i was thinking of fitting a level sensor to no2 as no1 is either full of empty.

Does that sound like a plan?

Which model of Mopeka gas sensor would you all recommend?
I was using the standard oblong Mopeka sensor which worked well, but have now swapped over to the Pro version so I can read the gas level via my Victron gear.

I'm watching this with interest.... The magnetic ones I purchased seem to be useless and will be returned.

I thought it was recommended to alternate cylinders? I'm sure Basildog has stated that a few times.

I thought you could see the gas level in Safefill cylinders.

Geoff
Hi Geoff,

Yes you can - but if it is a bright day it can be a bit awkward. If you can put a torch behind it, it is easier to see. I have insufficient room to do that, so it can be a bit of a faff having to unstrap and take the bottle out.

Just to repeat the recommendations, Mopeka for me as well but it does take care to set up correctly and you will need some of the special grease to ensure a decent signal. It's comes with some but not much and you will need more! It has to be dead centre of the bottle and completely level otherwise you can get some strange readings or at least I did.

Apologies for the lack of following all your advice following my post ( bit of an emergency ) but thanks everyone for all your thoughts and experiences. It’s given us a lot to check out and think about. Cheers 👍🏻
