Just had a new gaslow cylinder fitted and having a nightmare trying to find anywhere local -Wirral, Merseyside to recycle the old one, anyone on here know of anywhere we could take it, thanks

I know in Lincolnshire the local recycling centre takes gas cylinders.

Is it an old Gaslow cylinder or Calor/ another brand non-refillable. I understood Gaslow dealers had recycling facilities. Basildog is probably best placed to advisebut will need to know the cylinder type/brand.

If it’s a Gaslow, I’m sure someone will have it off you. 😉

Don’t know whether you contacted recycling centre or waste authority. If you haven’t done so contact the waste authority, which may or may not be your local authority. They are usually fairly helpful.

I tried to get rid of a small helium tank that came with some birthday balloons about 10 years ago. Nobody would take it. Not even the scrap metal guys.
Mrs got fed up of seeing it so I turned it into a small bbq using a grinder and welding machine.

Yes, I have tried both 🤞 we will sort something, thanks

If I was nearer, would give it a home. They make excellent garden heaters with a little cutting and welding

Hubby was doing some work on the front a couple of years ago, came in for lunch, went back and his step ups had gone 😲 It was a nice area aswell, so maybe leave it on the drive in full view 🤞(y)
