One of you bright sparks must be able to work this out !
I have 3.9kg flogas bottle, at this moment in time it weighs just over 10kg. The people at flogas say it's not possible to work out how much gas is left in it, (Hi, thank you for your message. There is no way to work out how much gas is left, however, a full 3.9kg Propane cylinder has approximately 7.8L of gas. I hope this helps, thank you, Hannah.) Surely there must be a way ? Pics attached.

There's loads of info on the net. Have a google.

If the bottle is 8.1kgs and with gas it's 10.2 kgs ,there is 2.1 kg of gas in the bottle so at 2litres approx per kg, it contains 4.2 litres of gas.
Hope that helps.

the tare weight printed on the bottle or on a collar with some others is the weight of the metal. Take that off your total weight to see the weight of the propane in the tank

Thank you all, I shall try to get my tired old head around it !

Subtract the tare weight stamped on bottle (weight of empty bottle).

Back street garages refill any bottle in parts of europe and rely on this to make sure they don't overfill. Highly illegal in UK of course.

The weight of that bottle empty is 8.1kg. If it now weighs 10kg you have 1.9kg of gas left. T21 as marked is the year it was tested. You can do the same with Calor but for some reason they show the empty weight in pounds so you need to convert it to kg.
