Good morning all,

I sold my classic Hymer last year and have bought something else which is fitted with a Truma bulkhead regulator and pigtail for a UK propane bottle. I now have a ‘silver’ CEPSA gas bottle and looking for an adapter to connect it to my system. Unfortunately I do not have a gas BBQ outlet point which would have made it easier.

I am on a long stay pitch in Javea but can travel if needs be to buy the parts.

All suggestions welcome.

Many thanks

You need a standard butane pigtail and what they call a Spanish 'jumbo" adaptor to clip onto the bottle.
Maybe a camping shop is best place or try a large DIY outlet. You do seem to find the adaptors easier in UK.
Try Amazon or Ebay and have delivery to campsite.

Hi, come out of the campsite and up the road on the right hand side that goes towards Supercoŕe and Iceland roundabout is Roca Sanigrif go in there, you need a adjustable valve and it has a thread the same as would be used on a UK butane bottle they sell the hoses, if in doubt take your hose with you. 😁
Cepsa and Repsol both have the same fitting on propane and butane. 🙂 Bob.

Great advice Bob...so many unaware visitors fit Repsol Regulators and wonder why they cannot fit the HP hose...onto the system an get a flow of gas..
Our new Spanish motorhome bought in 2003 came with new spec gas installation...I had to stop the dealer from ripping it out and fitting Cylinder top regulators connected via orange LP hoses into the van...hope they have learned the right way to go now...
