Good morning all,

We have bought a Garmin Campercam 795 and ideally i would prefer to mount it on the dash of our 2024 Ducato instead of the windscreen. When i try to do this the screen is obviously upside down and i would like to orientate the screen 180 degrees but cannot find anywhere in the settings that allow me to do this? I have searched the web and there is a thread saying 'go into settings-Display and then find screen orientation' but its not there. Just spoke to Garmin Support UK which are as useful as a chocolate fireguard as they were all flicking through the on-line manual just like me but there is nothing there for this so they could not help.
Has anyone figured out how to do this or will i end up just mounting it on the windcreen?

Many Thanks

As Vanderek says can you not just rotate / invert #2 on this diagram from the manual.

We used to on a Garmin Camper 760.

No as it’s on a clip that fits only one way and if you rotate the ball itself it then renders the camera useless as it’s blocked out🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️
Apologies. I read as a Camper 795 not CamperCam 795.

I don’t know what I am doing wrong then as if I try to do that the dash cam part is obscured
Cheers
I’ve stopped using the dash cam on the Garmin, as I have a dedicated dash cam. When I did use the camera part of the satnav I had the unit on the flip up holder, now it’s in the left hand corner (LHD)👍

I think the guys are making the same mistake as me in they are thinking it's just a sat nav and not one with a built in dashcam that needs visibility behind the unit.

Wonder if you could try a "tablet / mobile phone mount" attached off-centre of the sat nav?

One tip for your new Garmin satnav:
When choosing the voice for the directions, do not choose John Denver.
Otherwise all the routes home will be via country roads. 🙂

Thank you but ours does not have that central holder as Fiat seems to have stopped fitting it after 2023 models? Why god only knows as it was brilliant as my friends have one

Ah, sorry bout that, I haven’t taken much notice of the new cabs👍

Yes i was wondering that and searching at the moment so thank you
OK, thinking out of the box (or, maybe just out of my box!) what about an "offset ball joint arm" where the one end fits your suction mount ball and the other fits the sat nav ball socket?

Something like this (probably not this but gives an idea of what I'm trying to say  )? You need to check the dimensions / ball diameter / etc but if you could get correct sizes may work as the suction mount "leg" would be to the side of the camera?

Yes that might fit the bill and many thanks
