Garmin map upload for free. Looking for European map (1 Viewer)

Some of you may think I am tech savvy.

I am not. I learn as I go and blag an awful lot.

I have a Garmin Edge, and a couple of pints of Wadworths inside me.

Whilst we were on holiday we realised our Edge didnt have European maps on it.

I dont like paying for anything that i can get for free.

In unbelievably plain english with instructions for a thicko, how do I download european maps and put it onto my garmin edge which is recognised by my garmin express.

I think its just a matter of locating an OSM map in garmin format. Has someone got it that they can send to me ?

Late to the party and you have probably done it by now ....or are back from Europe!

Ta ever so.

It took me ages to work out but when I bought it i assumed the maps were on there.
After numerous red herrings and going down several rabbit holes. All I had to do was "Update maps" and it all works fine !
