Looking to buy a 2008 Rimor Katamarano 7 all looks ok but the bottom of the two garage doors on the inside are a little soft, is this easy to fix. Damp reading all over the rest of the van are ok apart from the battery box which is under the van is showing signs of damp. Seems a silly design having this wooden box under the van.

It may be that the seals on the door are suspect. Is the floor, near the bottom of the doors, OK?

Obviously we can’t see the vehicle but, if the door seals need replacing, it would explain the damp. With some door construction methods it may be possibly for water to enter between the surface of the door itself and its frame too, check for gaps.

The softness is almost certainly due to damp/water ingress. Examine other locker doors for damp, compare the seals, and thoroughly check the walls and floor. If they are OK it is probably just door seals or catches needing adjusting to ensure that the doors close tightly.

I don’t know the model you refer to so my reply can only be generic. Good luck.
