Garage damp

Hi, I am new to this group. we had a habitation check by Lowdhams Huddersfield in March 2020 just before lock down, who then kept it for a few months as we could not pick it up. When we picked it up they found damp both sides of garage below doors, so a claim was put in under warranty but was told probably couldn’t be done till Christmas of 2020. Still waiting April 2021. this year’s check was done by Cannock Resprays excellent job they did as well damp still in garage but still waiting on Lowdhams who keep saying they are waiting for infill panel !!! Where is this panel in garage. When we purchased the van the salesman Mark Lacey was great but after sales service is absolutely rubbish. Anyone else had problems with Lowdhams.

Sorry to hear about tis - not just Lowdhams but many owners complain about poor after sales service once they have parted with hard earned cash.

You will need to pursue it hard starting with a strongly worded letter. You don't say what vehicle it is

A common issue found with Chausson garage doors is the locks, tightening the nut on the inside lessens the clearance meaning the door closes tighter on the rubber. General wear & tear plus Mother Nature effects the elasticity of rubber so as rule I'd add this procedure to your own usual van checks.

Aluminium extrusion within the grp walls, flooring and roof will also give a 'damp' reading where none exists due to the technology used with the detector.

Always found Lowdhams to be very good ,they are reliant on the manufacture sending the parts.could cannock take On the repair ,?
