Hi guys,
My first MH was a 2021 Adria 520 Matrix and the furniture board used had a paper transfer of the wood grain on it. In short if rubbed enough the transfer would rub off. (Bad)

My second Camper was a 2022 Westfalia Amundsen which used HPL (High Pressure Laminate) furniture boards which are almost bulletproof. (Very good indeed)

I am thinking of pacing an order for a new Hymer Grand Canyon S and was wondering if anyone could tell me what board is used in newer Hymers or how durable it is.

Many thanks Paul.

So what that got to do with what the OP is asking ? 🤷‍♂️
Nothing as stated "No idea" just an observation, as so many other posts on MHF that do not directly answering OP questions.
Or humour, guessing your not the target audience.
So lets go with "If your thinking of placing an order, surely you've looked at one, why didn't you ask dealer while looking?"

The Hymer will be foil wrapped so not as hard as HPL but ours never had any rub off problems I think the biggest problems are when the don’t edgeband the edges just use a thin vinyl tape that is not durable.

Unfortunately even if you look at a van, the spec might change before yours is built. If it's any help, our Euramobil (similar reputation to Hymer) has laminated board in some places, proper wood veneer in others, and printed transfer board in a few 'low traffic' areas. You have to look hard to see the difference. Like everything, the builders are constantly trying to save costs.

I did my first and second vans out in Vorhinger board (high pressure laminated but light inner wood). Have still got just over a half of the 8 x 4 ft light oak board left. Good stuff. My present van has vinyl heat wrapped furniture. It still looks good, no problems so far. But it does curl on the edges over heated over hot cooking equipment over time, I understand.
