Just a quick question it will be blindingly obvious I am sure but not to me why do I have a red marker on my position and nearly every one else is blue , you can tell I am a bit bored today but I would like to know if any one knows . Thanks .

Because your special.

Your a labour voter, everyone else is conservatives

Gets better.. According to the map I live in a street with no houses..
And I am sure it will come as a shock to @TinaL, but she has moved and is now a neighbour of mine !

I think it would be interesting to have an interactive map where everyone can place their pin wherever they are currently.

Just change your map location in your profile (y)

Those are the preferred Funster swinging and dogging locations, did you register an interest in these activities when you joined?

Or it might be because you are a Life Member :D

Having read this thread I thought I should have a look at the funster map. Lots of pins showing but all blue background, looks like sea I thought so I zoomed out several times until I found the nearest land. This collection of pins is to the south of Ghana. What am I doing wrong? To find myself all at sea is no surprise but I thought most funsters were more grounded than me.

Just had a look, I wasn't on so entered location & now have a nice Blue Dot! Another thing I didn't know about this site. Thanks

Dont know how accurate people put their location to there house - but it would certainly give someone something to do if you mention on here that you are going away for for a few days or more - just my view though probably because i'm fairly cautious

I’ve been bobbing about in the Atlantic for well over a year now despite many attempts with both towns and postcodes. I think it puts all us tykes out to sea.

I didn't put my actual postcode, but used instead the postcode of a local pub

Cheers

Trevor

There seem to be quite a few of us in the Gulf of Guinea south of Ghana and west of Gabon. Would one of you wave a torch about please so I can get my bearings.

@Pausim - that’s because that’s where the lat Lon 0,0 is!

I spend years working on locations-based iOS apps, and when pins appeared in the map there we knew something was wrong. Prolly you’ve not set a location at all on your profile?

Thanks, I should have thought of that. I have entered a post code location but will try lat and long instead.

I’ve been at sea for ages and when I swim towards land I can see hundreds of dots but no land.
Mayday, Mayday!!

Maybe it doesn’t accept lay Lon? Try a place name?

Hi @Jim , I see Bigfoot is on the Isle of Wight Newport , should be in the Wirral !
Mine's in RED , had'n noticed much swinging going on ( not much too swing these days) , but we do have 2 dogs ( not sure thats good for doggin )

I know its a mess. We're due a major upgrade soon and the user map will be fixed then hopefully.

Well I am stuck !
How do you edit your location ?

Quick bump as I still cannot work out how to edit my location !
