Fun in the sun at Newark

Everone got here last night, some had problems caught up in traffic in the aftermath of Peterborourgh aircrash near the A1, but most enjoyed an evening of chat in the Marquee which was full.

There are more kids here than I have seen at a meet in a while, they took over the marquee area yesterday afternoon and really enjoyed themselves with dozens of games inc swingball, skittles, target rings and boules.

Had a quick walk through the Fun area whilst we were there today but no one was about having said that Im not surprised as it was raining quite hard at the time.

pleased you all had a good time though wished we could have been there all weekend but had to attend a good friends 65th Party on Saturday.

Hi guys and gals


So sorry we didnt get to join you. Although we were missing the fun at newark with you all, fellow fun member Junan and her husband Mike were FAB FUNSTERS looking after us.

We've only just found out about the tragedy on the A1 and our little bump probably meant we are still alive and uninjured now, because had our plans followed their normal course we would have been right in the middle of it on the A1.

Hope to catch funsters next year when we have a newer motorhome. Ours is going up for sale in the next week or two as we have had the dreaded LEZ letter.

We cant make Shepton either as I have to give evidence at court friday afternoon so missing two fun events in a row is unforgiveable.

Safe journeys to all of you on your way home from Newark. Lovely to hear the fun is happening xxxxxxxxxx

Was a great meet as usal sorry John for pulling yours to hard oh:.. I will write about what i bought as the people at newark know lol... Got home safe but with a massive shock.. Oil all over the floor from mh after gearbox and service so i will be shouting tomorrow at 0830 at dealer and requesting emergencie fix and some money back for the hassle... i will update on it soon..

We are still here! The sun has been shining and we had a nice cuppa with Dave and Amanda (manda3000gt) this afternoon. Been a good weekend, thanks Jim and Sian for doing the marshal duties and see you again soon, Jane, Bob and Izzy

We had a nightmare journey home, took us 6 hours. It was a small rally and small show, but nonetheless very enjoyable Some old friends and new faces, and every single one in the marquee for breakfast at 10am and stayed chatting till past lunch. Lovely time, looking forward to Lincoln now:thumb:
