Full tank of fuel on ferry to Santander or fill up once in Spain?

I don’t think they are keen on full tanks. Cheaper in Spain anyway.

a garage and put it in your Sat Nav. (have a second one as reserve, just in case.)

Use the 1-2-3 fuel app. Pretty reliable. Diesel was €1:39 a litre in northern Spain.

Can't see why not ? many spanish trucks going the other way would have full tanks.

10.6 All vehicles carrying petrol or fuel oil in their main fuel tank shall be fitted with means whereby the fuel supply shall be shut off either (i) in the case of gravity feed by closing the valve or (ii) in the case of a pump feed by stopping the engine. No fuel tank shall be filled to such a degree as to allow any spillage during loading or unloading or throughout the carriage when the motion of the Ship must be taken into account.

Maybe not so fussy with modern fuel tanks but I do remember being asked not to be full when embarking on trips - especially motorcycle trips

Fill up when off ferry in Santander as others have said and don’t forget to fill up before getting on the ferry to come home. I also try and come home with two full Spanish gas bottles and us them during our time away in UK , haven’t bought a bottle of gas in UK for over 4 years
