Fuel low message.

On my Peugeot boxer 2.2 after changing the battery now when starting a fuel low message appears on the screen/dash. I know there is half a tank and fuel gauge shows half a tank. Any ideas what is wrong???

I've read many times about Fiat/Pug........ ignore it and drive around as normal and it may well reset after XX miles.

my relay was showing empty after a new starter put fuel in but still the same so disconnected battery for a couple of minutes and it was ok then
