Portsmouth to Santander this Friday. It has been very frosty here in Devon and last night the water was dumped. I am sure it will very cold in northern Spain.

What precautions should we take to avoid this happening again?
Do you keep the heating on all night?
Or what other suggestions could you give me?

I don't think you even need the heating on. Can you not just set the boiler to hot water all night?

Chances are it will be colder in Northern Spain.... :frowny:

Leave it dumped and take loose bottled water with you for a brew and a quick splash down the loo till you get further down into Spain.. (y)

OH!!!!! And stay smelly for a few day`s... :giggler::wink:

Were you staying in your van last night when it dumped?

On our previous winter transits down through France to Spain we would fill a 20 litre water carrier and 2 x 5 litre bottles and use these for 'cat lick' washes and drinking...we wouldn't fill the on board water system until we were south of Toulouse...we managed ok.

It’s usually frosty in El Rocio this time of the year but soon goes off once the sun is up just keep your hot water on we have never had any problems.😊 always have a full tank of water which will last well into Spain 👍😊
