I’m thinking of fitting a pair of mud flaps to my Motorhome fors or againsts on this ,just wondering about ramps , thanks

Front mud flaps can save splatter on the van sides having driven on muddy gravel road type campsites. Not had any issue with ramps, don't use them, but you have to be very careless as there should be plenty of clearance, if using manufacturer sized ones.

On the Ducato the Peugeot/Citroën manufacturer ones are cheaper than Fiat but fit just as well.

I fitted a set of these and they work well. One thing to be careful of is the way the bracket fits to the sill. A small bolt clamps the bracket to the sill. When you tighten the bolt it rotates (obviously) and this rotation can remove the paint down to the bare metal if you tighten it too much. The more expensive Fiat mud flaps have a better clamping arrangement.

Yes, it's a bit of a lashup arrangement. I cut up an old cycle innertube and used strips of that wrapped over the sill where the clamps fit.

Our electric step failed a few months after we got the van due to dirt etc from the front wheels, Autotrail sent a replacement so I had mud flaps fitted at the same time and two years on have had no trouble.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the front Fiat flaps for standard and heavy kit? Is it to do with heavy chassis and light chassis or something else? The price difference is huge.

I want to fit them to my Citroën based Giottiline, but the Citroën dealer tells me that they don't sell them (??) and I have not found anything compatible here. Are OEM ones available?

It seems that all the available ones are for Citroën Relay, but mine is a Jumper. They could be (and probably are) exactly the same. But living in the Canaries means a long transport time until receiving the goods, and if they are wrong it's a problem. I think I'll wait till I get to France and then seek them out. Thank you for the information Alanf75.
