he is currently near Reims his leisure battery is hot to the touch it is fully charged and doesn't seem to be any faults , do think it could be starting to fail it is 3 yrs old ,if it is failing any idea where he can get one from in france, thank guys .

If it’s lead acid is there a rotten egg sulphurous smell as well, then could be overcharging, disconnect the battery until investigated. Check battery voltage with a voltmeter.
