Can anyone help? Fridge works on electric down to 5C. On gas it’s 15C+. Pilot lights up and gets hot.

Sounds like the gas system is not generating as much heat as the electric, have you checked the burner and chimney for dead spiders etc? Is it making the usual rushing noise?
Hope this helps
Mike
Thanks Mike I’ll check the chimney but can’t get at the burner because there’s not enough room between bottom of burner and floor. Not heard a rushing sound so maybe I should check gas supply although it burns hot.

Solution
Check the flue and give it a clean, also see if it has the spiral heat defuser down the top of the flue…😎
Thanks Smiffy will do as you suggest.

You should be able to hear a continous hissing \ rushing sound when its running on gas which will be the sound of the gas burner. That is after you have heard the clicks of the igniter of course

Similar happened to mine it was a partly blocked jet. It would light but not cool correctly.

How long have you had the van and when was it last used on gas only ?

That’s what I suspected Xsparks as the gas is getting through but not much sound. Looks like I’ll have to remove the fridge to get at it. Thanks to everyone for their support.

We use the van regularly and the gas fridge too I doubt it is the coolant otherwise it wouldn’t work well on electric.

Probably flue or burner then.
Theres been a few of us recently who have found the baffle missing, but if yours was working on gas in the previous warm weather then not likely.
