Anyone come across this before? 18 year old Dometic (tec tower, Adria A class) fridge is still consuming power and heating up the coolant pipes at the rear of the fridge when it is on EHU but switched off on the front panel and with the thermostat turned to zero.
I've only come across this oddity as my new lithium battery is showing me a 14a discharge when the inverter is on, by removing the fridge vents I can feel that the pipework is hot but it's not producing cold in the fridge.
There's not a lot of electronics at the back of the fridge that isn't for the 12v side, so I suspect maybe a PCB fault. My solution will be to fit a switched spur to cut off the live feed when it's plugged in at home just charging the battery.
I'd be interested in your thoughts
Thanks
