Fridge vent covers

Just been giving the van a good clean and noticed covers behind the fridge vents. Do you take them off when the weather is warm. I noticed on our last outing, that the fridge wasnt very cold. Thanks

hi are you talking about winter covers ,,?that you can change with the open vent ones that you keep on all the time ,if that makes sense

I took the slatted vents off to clean and there was solid covers behind

im not an expert but they look like winter covers ,think they should be removed , on mine i take the covers of and replace them for winter ones ,,if i can be bothered doing it ,,

These are winter cover to aid fridge efficiency. They should be used when external temps are below 8c.
