Rapido
We are currently travelling through France to Spain, and have just found the fridge is not switching to electric when the engine is running.
We have a Rapido 856F, and a Thetford three way fridge.
Presumably a fuse, and maybe a relay somewhere. Any ideas please?
I’ve tried setting it to battery manually with the engine running, no joy.
Annoying to be using gas when driving, but fortunately not a disaster.

I take it you’ve tried the A (auto setting)?

The same happened to us in Spain in November. Theres a 20 amp fuse in the fridge PCB board, if you’re lucky you could change that and it might solve your issue. Unfortunately ours needed a new board which cost us £150 plus fitting.

With my van with the Schaudt EBL101 ther is a 20A fuse by the starter battery which is necessary for 12v from the starter battery.

Mine has also failed I suspect its the fuse but I've never bothered to find it.

Our Swift Kontiki did that. I found a relay within the engine compartment which was duff. Bought a new 20a 4 pin relay from eBay £4.00 sorted.

Has the dash a battery display, just ours did this recently and whilst running wasnt at voltage I thought when running 13.5+v. Had Hid lights, fans, wipers etc and fridge display flashed.

Have a read Post 16 I managed to get a new upgraded pcb from Thetford FOC despite being out of the 3 year warranty https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/dometic-3-way-fridge-issue.275970/post-5406512

Had similar but on an Elddis Autoquest 175. After days on hookup with fridge on electric, when on the move, switch to "battery", and after about 50 miles the fridge starts beeping.

The dealer checked it as it's under warranty and said it's a common problem as the fuse between the engine and fridge is too low from new. New higher rated fuse and solved...

Hope you locate yours and get it fixed.
