Morning beautiful people, forgive this post if its been posted a ton of times before - i have searched, and apart from a very ingenious strap i was unable to see any more.

So.... I have the Fridge like the picture (blatantly nicked from google as not near the van :) ), and the door has opened a few time now whilst driving. Apart from scaring the bejesus out of me when it happens, and the Duchess having to run (ok, we stroll sedately) back and having to pick up anything that became airbourne in the process.... i am worried about potential damage to the fridge etc.

There is very little room around the sides of the door, but would welcome any advice from you knowledgeable lot as to what would you install to keep the bloomin thing closed ??

p.s. i have checked the latches etc and all looks fine....

Is it the type that you have to give an extra strong shove to get it to fully latch for travel? Ours is like that so if we forget the door quietly swings open and we only know as our 'issue alert' dog, aka Tazzy, tries to hide under my legs so she doesn't get attacked by a flying lettuce!

Worth checking whether the travel catch on the door latch hasn’t been pushed up (so it’s inactive, as you might have it when parked up for a few days)?

Personally I would use some neodymium magnets strategically placed to help keep the door closed if the latch is failing.

I cannot see from the photos but;

My fridge, much smaller, had fittings on the opening side to fit;

Either changing the opening direction.

Or fitting a locking device.

A eryIn size Allen key is the perfect fit and secures the fridge door when travelling.
