2 separate things !!

First - can anybody tell me where to source a replacement aerial for a 2008 Chausson on a Ducato base that has an aerial on the front offside wing that has this 'bulbous' screw to tighten adjustment at the bottom.

The stubby aerial above I think originally screwed into the top but has broken and any screw-in arrangement has corroded solid - despite copious WD40. Can't find anything listed on line that looks remotely like it.

Second - a Thetford fridge has gone completely 'dead', just as if the fuse has gone. But it hasn't. Any suggestions as to what to look at/for next?

Thanks lads/lasses for any suggestions on these 2 matters

Just to clarify, when you say 'completely dead' do you mean so dead that you can't even hear the igniter clicking?

I was tempted to say the fridge was never alive but won't. More info might help. Does it work at all? What make is it? Does a light come on when opening the door? Does the gas cooker work?

So good of you to respond

Aerial - the Calearo site I am afraid did nor have anything with the 'bulbous' adjuster as in the photo. Has nobody else got an aerial like this???

Fridge - Its a large Thetford with small freezer above it. There are no lights and the little screen between main fridge and freezer sections, with the knob underneath it that normally turns it on, is totally inert. It can run on gas (or the vehicle when travelling) but with the electric being totally 'dead' it sits there doing nothing and the fact the gas is OK is by the by (or bye). As I said, fuse is fine.

Aerial ..... .local motoring accessory shop will have something.
I have a new one somewhere in the garage I bought years ago but I suspect postage would cost more than the value....even if I could find it

Aerial - Thanks for the suggestions.

I realise I could try and replace the whole fitting, but what a fight as its inner section is hiden away inside the wing behind the headlights. As it comes apart if the screw you can see is undone, then how much easier to do this and then replacement with the equivalent bit, plus the mini aerial that screws into it, from an intact fitting - new from a shop or from the depths of a garage!

Agreed, but why fit the whole aerial.....just replace the needed part from a complete aerial

just re-read and I misunderstood.

If it was mine I would remove the end fixing, drill out the old broken bit, then cut a new tread to fit a new bee-sting aerial

There should be 2 x 12v fuses for the fridge , have you checked them both ? one will be about 20 amp for the heater element with the engine running and another about 5 amp for the display /operation which could be near the leisure battery or in the habitation fuse box , it may also be on the fridge PCB (depending on the model number of the Thetford fridge you have )
If it is the 5 amp fuse you have checked and it is ok you will need to check the 12v supplies on the rear of the fridge to confirm that power is getting to it for the control panel to be able to operate.

I agree with the above. You will be looking for a low amperage fuse that powers the control panel. It will probably be neat the habitation battery.

On mine (also Thetford and sounds similar to yours from your description)there are 4 fuses for the fridge. One on the EBL (main electric control unit) a 20 amp by the starter battery, another 20 amp by the leisure battery and a 10 or 2 amp (cannot remember off hand) by the leisure battery - which I think is the control panel for the fridge.
