Hi Guys

I bought an Chausson Allegro 94 on a 07 plate. I am having trouble with the fresh water tank sensor. The indicator says the tank is 3/4 full but this is not the case, its empty. I contacted the place I bought it from and they suggested it was the tank probe and were good enough to order and post me one out. I have fitted this to the fresh tank and the reading is still the same, both empty and when I filled it up. Can anyone suggest anything. I have read some threads about it that suggest there is a tiny screw on top of the probe but this is not the case, I have looked and there is no such screw that some suggest is turned to 'reset' the reading on the panel. Cheers guys

This is the old one (photo)and there is no screw I can see to the top

Are you definitely looking at the fresh and not waste water display? On our Chausson you push the display button twice to toggle between the two tanks. The reason I ask is that the waste tanks are known for sometimes giving incorrect readings due to waste becoming caught on the sensors.

As you have one unit out you may be able to test it with a bucket of water a battery supply and a meter wired in series with the signal return wire..
If that gives an indication the sender is working ok ( as seems likely ) then all you can do is check the remaining circut connections up to the panel..
Andy.
Just check the plug to the sender to make sure it is run at battery voltage before trying what i suggested , but the last one i had a look at was 12v..
It was a waste tank sender but im sure the fresh is the same

Thanks guys.

I have just found this amongst my many manuals and it shows a page on the control panel and mentions something to do with the fresh water tank settings and has a diagram that seems to suggest I have to set pins (bottom of photo). I can not see anything like this on the circuit board. Anyone know what this would mean. Thanks guys
