Hi, first time posting so please be kind.

I have filled fresh water as normal but it seems that everytime I switch the pump on it dumps the water. Could this be an easy fix or do I need "a man that can" please.
Thanks in advance, Jayne fiat ducato lifestyle 590rl 2001

Sounds like your frost protection valve is open (commonly called a dump valve).
It opens if the temperature falls to 3° to protect the boiler.

Normally mounted near the boiler, to close it you need to turn the blue knob on top and push the blue button at the bottom in.

If its an older van it may have an electric valve the Re button just needs pulling but needs power on to stay up, these ones dump at 5 to 6°.

Oh yes that makes sense and rings a bell! I'll have a look tomorrow. Thank you.

That is not an automatic dump valve. It has to be operated by somebody
Yes you are 100%! Can be accidentally tripped. Don’t ask how I know and can be left open after drain down

The automatic dump valve on my 2008 La Strada operates at 3degC but can't be reset until back up to about 8degC unless the van heating is set to on, in which case it works whatever the temperature..
