Since 2008 after caravanning for 20 years
We are pitched up at Blois on a nice municipal campsite just outside the city on the bank of the Loire.
Settling down in the shade, it's 28° this afternoon, the campsite guy started strimming about 50 feet away and carried on for an hour or so.
After he finished he came back and gave us a chilled bottle of Rosè wine for not complaining about the noise.
This is a first for us!

I've found the French normally polite and helpful. One time we had trouble finding a vet for the dogs worming, the sat nav had got us lost. We asked a local man, he spoke no English and we have very little French bit we managed to explain and that we were running late. He put us in his car and drove us to the vet. After we came out of the vet we took a bottle of wine to his house, he was surprised to receive it.
