Mini Anne is a training device aimed at teaching CPR to be carried out on children. It is quality training aid produced for the Arrhythmia Alliance the Heart Rhythm Charity. The kit is available to any person or group that can make good use of it within their community, I will post it out free of charge but I would ask 2 things, firstly that when training has been given the kit be passed to another person or group. Secondly to make a donation (however small) to either Jim's daughters charity myaware.org or to the heartrhythmcharity.org.uk or even both.

Hi, I‘ve just spoken to Sam, he is in his second year at Sheffield University and has completed his ALS course and does not need this excellent bit of kit. He thinks if somebody else could make use of it then it would better to spread the expertise.

Would you give me an hour or so to contact my daughter?
She has done the skills training for babies and children herself, but runs a mums and toddler group and might be willing to run sessions for others.

Grandchildren (11 & 7) visiting last week, have done some first aid at school.7 year old showed me how she can put her brother, then mum, into recovery position. Grandson (11) said he’d never saved anyone’s life but he’s resuscitated a lot of dolls ! He’s done resuscitation at swimming lifesavers too.

I’m sure your great donation will get a good home.

I am secretary for our bowling club, recently purchase an AED for the club, we would really appreciate the use of it. Once we have used it to raise everyone's awareness would happily forward it on to another needy org. Any costs of postage etc we would reimburse.

Barry.

Thanks for your interest. Sam sounds like a sound young man, wish him all the best. I've got a soft spot for paramedics, my life was saved by 2 about 10 years ago.

He is enjoying every minute of his course and loves his 600 hours on the ambulances. It’s a shame that at the end of 3 years he will have a £35,000 +debt. When I was trained as a teacher they gave me an allowance and I completed my degree and Masters with no cost to myself. There is little incentive to go into nursing or Paramedic training now, it has to be something the youngsters are fully committed to, including the debts round their necks.
