Frankia I7400plus
Exp
Since March 2018
Good morning everyone.
I am considering buying the above model.
I would really appreciate being able to talk to anyone who has had any experience .
If you are willing to PM me your number…I will call for a wee chitchat (y)

I love the layout of that van. We have the Frankia i740 with the drop down over cab bed. The lounge layout is the same as the one you are thinking of buying but we took the table out because we had a very large Labradoodle dog. I love the space but sometimes wish we had a smaller van for getting around then Mr Ginam reminds me how I love the space when cooking and the bed and toilet can be shut off by two doors so if one of us wants to stay up and watch TV the other can sleep and not be disturbed by the noise. We have had ours for nearly 6 years now(y)

Great layout, good build quality . But very low to the ground and cumbersome

Thanks guys for your input.
The 7400i plus is based on 519merc.
Ground clearance is one of my many thoughts….. should I fit Rollers?
7.70length 3.1high
as Ginam says I love the space and the privacy shut off doors.👍

Yeah the bathroom door idea was my favourite feature. I'd have another frankia but one that wasn't as long as the 840.

Mine had rollers on the back but they were destroyed ...not sure they helped much.

I think the good points would far outweigh the bad .

And it being a merc is a plus point too

Any pics of it ?

The trouble with rollers is that they reduce the ground clearance even further and the chassis legs don't like supporting too much weight nd can put stress into the bodywork apparently, better to have air suspension and be able to lift the body I think.

I found that if the rollers got banged they then became oval and didn't turn anyway ..the ones on my frankia were completely destroyed within months

Tam, how did you find the insulation in the frankia over winter?
Sorry Razamataz for the thread drift

John
I found it OK but I was in Europe nearly the whole time I owned it . The euramobil is much the same . Still need the heating on if it's really cold . And I've yet to.find a van that doesn't get condensation

That’s the biggest hunt in a winter van, trying to minimise the condensation.
The small over cab in mine gets a bit in it, think the insulation is lacking.

Usually inside cupboards etc is the worst unless empty. But anywhere warm air gets trapped and the outside is cold you'll get it . Just have to get air circulating the next day. As a fulltimer it's the bane of my life .
