Do I need any special connections for my hose pipe I only have normal hose lock connectors.
Thanks

That’s all I ever used, usually the same screw thread as ours, then push fit Hozelock if required.

Your hoselock will do nicely for most taps here in France but you will come across some taps that you cannot put any adapter on, this is the reason we always take our watering can

We find that often we need the smaller screw on tap adaptor which isn't often included in the UK 'packs' of fittings when you get them, you'll be able to get one abroad at most garden centres and larger supermarkets and they're not expensive at all.

We also have on of the rubber 'shoe' type with a jubilee clip that fastens to a tap for when it hasn't got a screw thread but it's rarely needed as we keep our tank pretty well topped up using our 2 x 5L slimline containers.

Very occasionally you may come across a tap which already terminates in a hoselock type connector, and for those a male to male hoselock adapter is useful.

And a few 1" taps too. You can buy the screw on adapters for these on line.

For those, and any domestic taps we are offered access to, I carry an 'adjustable' adapter - which is one a with a rubber insert which slips over the tap and is tightened by the installed jubilee clip, tightened with a thumb-screw, so can fit most taps, even a square tap I came across on one of our favourte Aires. It also has the usual Hozelok fitting at the other end.

It will fit threaded taps, so 'when' one leaves a threaded one at the last fill place one has a spare.

More likely to find them at garden centres/DIY than MH places.

We've come across taps that are female Hozelok in a hew places. You need a male - male Hozelok adapter for those. About 50p from any DIY shed.

I'll let you figure out the correct sequence to connect it. I'm sure you won't get too wet (y):D2

Haven't found a screw tap that this item from ASDA doesn't fit.

The best sort are when you a presented with a female Gardena connector (difficult to use for cassette rinsinf) You'll need a male to male hose connector for these.

Stopped carrying hose and fittings,,I find a large watering can excellent,,,BUSBY,,

The French have started to use these hozelock waterstop connectors to overcome the problem of the tap being left on and wasting water. Does make using a watering can or bucket interesting.

Again lots of bits and pieces but male to male hose lock connector essential in the box of tricks

I was the entertainment one morning at a busy aire, the plastic male to male I tried was slightly out of tolerance and I had a second shower of the day! Try to find a brass one.
