France to Switzerland fees ?

Hi folks just asking if anyone could advise if crossing the boarder from France ( Briancon ) To Switzerland ( Mount Blanc ) will incurr fees tomorrow?

If you are under 3500kg its free providing you don't use motorways. Over 3500kg you have to pay every day you are in Switzerland.

In a recent You Tube vlog The Rolling Rucks said they were diverted through Mont Blanc tunnel and, being over 3.5t, they were charged 177£/€.

Ok thank you we are a PPVC at 3500kg so no fees if not using motorways? But required if using motorways basically then all tolls are paid ? Sounds the easiest option

Depends on the road you are on. If you cross whilst on a motorway you must buy a vignette at the border. The vignette lasts until December 31st of this year and covers you for all motorways. Around £40.

The Mont Blanc tunnel takes you to Italy not Switzerland.

I rolled up at border control went into the office and the chap gave me this.
Dont think it’s the correct one as we are 7.5t but I drove all around Switzerland without any problems

You were lucky if you had got caught fines are very heavy, also the HGV one probably would have worked out cheaper.

Yes, the same thing happened to us. The bloke said don’t worry about it. So the next time, I used the app. For 10 days +3.5t it was about the same but with no worrying .

Yeah, coming from luxemourg was funny how many times you can border cross depending on route. I came through Geneva the Laussanne way round the lake. Tiny border crossing on the way up the hills, again no one there.

I don’t think it was much anyways, cannot remember but about €15-20 I think.
