Hi, we were all set to go back across the Channel last Monday but decided to put the sailing back a couple of weeks due to the weather. Is it me or is the forecast not improving? Thoughts of several weeks with a wet dog and golf ball size holes in the Moho aren't very appealing. But we don't have that much experience of French weather so am I just whittling unecessarily? 🤷🏻‍♀

Wish we'd given North West Spain a swerve, it's currently raining here . Going south tomorrow. We will visit the Guadi commission House in the morning.

We're on a small Aire just SW of Dijon. 3 weeks in and we've had 2 days without rain to some degree.
Thunderstorms at the minute but very hot in the van.
As said, looks good for the rest of the week...

Driven down to the villages around Domme, turned right to Bergerac and heading home gradually and hardly a dry day in 3 weeks.

We’re not far from you. Sat through a biblical rain & hailstorm a couple of hours ago! Very changeable, been warm and sunny most of the day. Yesterday was grim though. We too are pootling back home. Until about a week ago we hadn’t had any rain to speak of.

We have a 3 1/2 week trip planned to Brittany leaving next weekend. Weather is looking a bit mixed at the moment. Will make a decision next Friday whether we head to Brittany or go elsewhere in France/ Germany.

We have delayed our journey north into France by 10 days so far. Trying to time it to hit the spring (post monsoon) season. Not going too well so far! ☹️

That’s the beauty of a motorhome though. A few years ago we were near Bordeaux with 17 degrees and heavy rain. We just looked at a weather app and headed 130 miles south to Biarritz and had a week of sun and 24 degrees . Just chase the sun

Absolutely. Normally. But when Biarritz et al are having the same weather it's a bit of a dilemma ☺️

We are in the Medoc at Hourtin. Breezy and frequent sharp showers but mild enough. Supposed to improve dramatically starting tomorrow. Aires are only about a third occupied even at the coast which is odd for France because May is one long holiday with lots of public holidays and people “making the bridge” to extend breaks.

We've been moving northwards for the past week and arrived at Roses today. It's started raining! Perhaps I should have lingered longer 'darn sarf' and just made a dash for the ferry instead of a leisurely meander.

Looking at the various forecasts its looking a bit ropey across most of France next week. We are leaving Sunday for 25 days & cant put the trip off due to other commitments. Think we will be getting wet quite regularly.

Well we keep delaying and delaying heading North to the wet weather when it’s so perfect here in Altea.

I’ve got to be in the champagne region by Sat 18th for a weeks fishing, so I’m going to have to get the big boy Y fronts on soon and brave the rain… Boo! 😒

The hardest part is dragging Rene away… French springs are usually so perfect! 🙃

Sunny in Chinon. At last some decent weather. We’re homeward bound heading North to Caen.
Though swollen rivers have shut 2 local campsites for a few days.

Think most of France is sunny at the moment, starts going down hill on Sunday according to the forecasts.

We cross back into France tomorrow from Roses en route for the ferry on 21st. Having moved up from Andalusia, OH is already complaining that she is cold.
