Ford transit batteries yes or no

I’m replacing a battery in my Ford 2019 Chausson 630 with a genuine Ford replacement been told by the Garage it is maintenance free just want to check here or is there a better alternative thanks in advance

Probably a cheaper alternative than OEM available.

How much do they want?

I just replaced mine for £100 with a Bosch.

Being 'maintenance-free' isn't exclusive to Ford. Virtually all batteries nowadays are 'sealed' - I haven't come across one that requires any attention for donkey's years.

I thought that but see some still with caps saying maintenance free was a little confused I know I had banner batteries in my habitation motorhome and dealer said maintenance free turned out not to be the case

When looking for a replacement MK8 battery many of them are 85 Ah AGM. Ford fit a 92 Ah AGM.

Exide produce a decent EK950 AGM 95Ah stop/start starter battery which costs around £144.
