I just bought The Beast 608ah battery and in the app you can see the individual cell voltages and temperatures.
Well I can for 3 of them…… cell 4 shows the volts but not the temperature? Is this normal or is there a slight fault?

That is normal with the Fogstar BMS, both mine just show the temps for 1 & 2.

If I remember correctly the jbd BMS has 3 temp sensors 2 on the battery and one internal so they are not cell temps all 3 can be turned on/off in the overkill solar App,wich I prefer to the fogstar app or the carplounge app

Ok, next question……..
Why has the charger gone to “ float “ when it only got up to 89%?
Surely it should get to 100% before doing that?

What are the settings on your charger?

Also the BMS will not be accurate until you have had a few cycles taking it to a full charge.

I wasn’t aware I could change my charger settings?
I’ll get ORPS to check everything when I go there in 3 weeks. (y)
Thanks.

As Lenny HB says the BMS takes several cycles before it is accurate, in the case of my Fogstar battery it took 5 or 6 cycles for it to settle down.
However a lot of us, myself included, use a shunt to monitor the battery as it is more accurate as the BMS can't detect, in the case of your 608AH battery, draws below 2 amps.
So the SOC displayed on the app can drift from true until the battery is fully charged when the app SOC will reset to 100%.

Ok thanks.
I’ll see what happens when it’s been professionally fitted. (y)
