Hi
We have a broken string in our hab door flyscreen at the bottom.
can anyone tell me what I attach the string to please in order to tension? I think I have all the parts. I just don't know where the string goes. The white bit doesn't seem to fit anywhere in the side frame or bottom frame. Thank you in advance

There is a good article that shows how to replace the stings. If you search “fly screen and Two on tour” you will find it. Sorry I’m not clever enough to attach the link. But I found very useful when I replaced the strings in my door screen.

Here's the article on repairing the Hartal/Horrex door flyscreen, and a link that may be useful on replacing the cords from the Horrex website.

I re-strung our cords with 1mm kevlar kite string.

Hi.

I've read those articles and I have already replaced the string, but I don't know what to attach the string to at the bottom. I can't see a groove for the tensioner. Has anyone tied a knot please?

Theres an hole at the bottom that you need to tie a knot in. Be careful not to cut the string too short or you will end up restringing again.
From memory I used strong tape to hold the bottom string in position until I was happy the tension was right before I tied the knot.
The top is much easier as you can access and adjust it in situ.
Good luck

Hi Jim. Where abouts at the bottom please? Thank you

When we removed our screen from the van we laid it on the kitchen table. The hole is small, obviously on the bottom right and rail corner.
Remember the bottom string is attached to the top and the top string is attached to the bottom.
